A chilling case in Little Rock, Arkansas has led to a capital murder charge after a missing woman was found dead days after a violent shooting.
28 year old Jaliyah Miller was reported shot on May 7, 2026, during an argument inside a pickup truck parked at a liquor store in Little Rock. According to investigators, Miller was sitting in the front passenger seat when Pablo Gonzalez, 34, allegedly pulled out a gun and shot her in the head.

Authorities say Gonzalez then fired additional shots at the driver, who managed to escape by jumping out of the truck and running. Gonzalez reportedly drove away with Miller still inside the vehicle.
The case quickly became a missing person investigation until May 10, when detectives discovered the truck abandoned at the end of a trail in a heavily wooded area. Inside, they found Miller’s body in the front seat, partially covered by what appeared to be clothing or a blanket.
Police gathered surveillance footage from the liquor store, along with witness statements and a photo lineup identification, all pointing to Gonzalez as the suspect.
On May 14, 2026, Gonzalez was arrested and is now being held in the Pulaski County Regional Detention Center. He is facing capital murder charges, along with additional probation violations in multiple counties. During his first court appearance, a judge ordered that no bond be set, keeping him behind bars as the case moves forward.
Investigators say the case remains active, and additional charges or details could still emerge as they continue building their case.
Jaliyah Miller’s life was taken during what began as an argument but escalated into deadly violence. Her case is another reminder of how quickly situations can turn fatal when firearms are involved.
